Tags are useful and important features to segment and target Messenger subscribers for your marketing campaigns.
For Example, you can use a tag to group your audience based on:
Different Campaigns
Different Products or Services,
Different Targeting,
and a whole lot more.
Creating Tags
You can create tags in the Flows section.
Go to Menu > Flows > Tags
Click the “Add Tags” button to create a Tag.
Give a name for your new tag on the dialog box below.
You can also enable the sync tags on the floating window (looks similar like the image below) to integrate the tags that you are assigning to your subscribers with the Facebook page manager inbox.
Now that you already know how to create a tag, Let’s Add a Tag to segment your audience.
Adding tags to the subscribers in Elegant Bots can be done in two ways:
Manually and,
Automatically.
Add Tags Manually
Tags which you created can be assigned to your subscribers manually.
Note: Adding a Tag Manually is a very tedious and time-consuming process. Do this only as a last recourse.
Add Tag to Individual Subscribers
To apply the tag to a particular subscriber, Go to “users” tab by navigating through the main menu.
Now, select the subscriber by clicking the name on the list and add the tag on the given field (as shown in the image below) as you need.
Add Tag to Multiple Subscribers
You can also add tags to the multiple subscribers manually by selecting “users” (use checkbox) and click “Action”. Select “Add Tag” to add the tags to the multiple subscribers manually.
Add Tags Automatically on a Flow
Assigning tags for your Messenger subscribers can also be done automatically on a chat flow.
To do this, Create a Tag first and select the flow on which you want to add automatic tag to your subscribers.
You can use this automatic tagging feature on three places on a chat flow,
- Using the Action Tab: While creating a chat flow you can use the action “Add Tag” at a certain point to tag your subscribers on the flow automatically.
To do this, Click on the big + Sign or double click on the canvas >> action (to choose the action block)
Once done, an “Action” Block will be created like the image below.
Click on the action block >> add content >> actions >> add tag
The “Tag” will be created like the image below.
Click on the “Add Tag” block and select the specific tag “Would Recommend”, you can either select from the dropdown or just type in the field.
You have now created your tag “Would Recommend” for you to know which specific users would recommend your service.
To complete, you’ll have to link the “Would Recommend” block to the two messages blocks by dragging a connection links. That’s it!
